On Saturday we went out for breakfast. We walked around the mall in the Osaka City train station (the big one that intersects the subway, train and bus lines). We decided upon these waffles for breakfast. Apparently though, something like this is what would be ordered for a dessert in the evening here. A traditional Japanese breakfast would more likely consist of some rice and something salty, maybe a bit of fish. Or a piece of bread and juice.
We enjoyed our dessert for breakfast though, which explains why it was served with ice cream on top! Presentation is very important, as you can see.
